Forms

1)     “User interface”

i)        Forms are easy to use interfaces for the tables

2)     Used to:

i)        Search for data (example: find a person’s phone number)

ii)      Enter data into database

iii)    Delete data from database

3)     Create Forms:

i)        Auto Forms

(1)        From Objects menu on left side of database window, single click Forms

(2)        Click New button

(3)        Select AutoFormat

(4)        New Form dialog box

(a)        Specify the underlying table or query

(5)        Form is automatically created

ii)      Form Wizard

(1)        From Objects menu on left side of database window, single click Forms

(2)        Click Forms

(3)        Click New button

(4)        Select Form Wizard

(5)        New Form dialog box

(a)        Specify the underlying table or query

iii)    Step 1

(1)        Select the fields

>> button (adds all fields from table)

(2)        Click Next button


 

iv)   Step 2

(1)        Select the layout

(a)        Columnar is standard

(2)        Click Next button

v)     Step 3

(1)        Select the style

(a)        Select which ever one you think looks best

(2)        Click Next button

vi)   Step 4

(1)        Name Form

(2)        Open or Modify?

(a)        Open form to view or enter data

(b)        Modify the forms design

(i)     Shows Form in Design view

(3)        Click Finish button
